* BL Lac - Decreases today. Flux = (0.7 ± 0.3) x 10-6 (TS = 20)
* PKS 0537–441/1FGL J0538.8–4404 - remains bright at (1.1 ± 0.4) x 10-6
* 4C +21.35 - not detected in the daily run today, but the counts map suggests there may still be something there.
* 3C 454.3 - steady at (2.1 ± 0.5) x 10-6
* CGRaBS J0721+7120m and PKS 1424–41 also detected

Daily Report - May 28, 2010

Highlights:
Extragalactic Science

* BL Lac - Bright today. Flux = (1.2 ± 0.3) x 10-6 (TS = 81). Last report was for January 21 increase (ATel #2402). BL Lac has occasionally been near this daily flux in the past months (http://fermi.gsfc.nasa.gov/FTP/glast/data/lat/catalogs/asp/current/lightcurve /BLLac_86400.png).
* PKS 0537–441/1FGL J0538.8–4404 - brightened to (1.0 ± 0.4) x 10-6. This is still a bit below the historical peak at ~1.5.
* 4C +21.35 - still flaring at (3.1 ± 0.5) x 10-6.
* 3C 454.3 - steady at (2.0 ± 0.4) x 10-6
* CGRaBS J0721+7120m PKS 2155–304 also detected

Daily Report - May 27, 2010

* 4C +21.35 - fading. Flux = (3.1 ± 0.4) x 10-6 (flux range 2-6 x 10-6 in six hour runs)
* 3C 454.3 - still above threshold at (1.7 ± 0.4) x 10-6
* PKS 1424-41 and PKS 0426–380 also detected
* Brief appearance in 1 six hour run by a source near CGRaBS J0721+7120

* 4C +21.35 very bright again, flux = (7.3 ± 0.6) x 10-6. Flux ranges from 5-10 x 10-6 in the six hour runs.
* 3C 454.3 holding steady at (2.3 ± 0.4) x 10-6
* PKS 1329–049 also detected

* 1FGL J1033.8+6048 not detected today. Atel #2366 reports a NIR flare by S4 1030+61. Atel on Swift follow-up of the source ongoing.
* PKS 0426-380 flaring with a daily flux of (1.37+/-0.38)E-6, the same level observed by LAT on January 2, 2010 (ATel #2366).
* 4C 21.35 still very bright, with a daily flux of (2.27/-0.39)E-6. Atel #2617 reports a NIR flare from the source.
* PKS 2155-304 detected with daily flux of (0.27+/-0.11)E-6 and a hard photon index of 1.83+/-0.24.
* 3C 454.3 at about 4E-6
* PKS 0537-441 and CGRaBS J1312+4828 at about 0.6 and 0.3E-6.

* 1FGL J1033.8+6048 detected also today with decreasing daily flux of (0.69+/-0.29)E-6. Swift ToO carried out. X-ray data confirm S4 1030+61 as counterpart of the gamma-ray source. Dedicated analysis and a possible ATel on Swift follow-up of 1FGL J1033.8+6048 ongoing.
* 4C 21_35 still bright with a daily flux of (1.39+/-0.30)E-6 and in 6h interval flux about 3.0E-6.
* PKS 0537m441 and PKS 1424m41 still active with daily flux of 0.65 and 0.79 E-06.
* 3C 454.3 at about 3.5E-6

* 1FGL J1033.8+6048 (associated to two FSRQ sources, S4 1030+61, z=1.4009, and GB6 J1032+6051, z=1.064) detected also today (6h interval flux about 0.8E-6). ATel #2622 published. High priority Swift ToO ongoing. Follow up optical ATel #2623 suggests S4 1030+61 is the likely counterpart.
* TXS 2247-283 (PMN J2250-2806) detected with daily flux about 0.3E-6 (at 48 arcmin from the asp position)
* PKS 2155-304 detected with daily flux (0.35+/-0.13)E-6 and hard photon index 1.82+/-0.21.
* PKS 1424-41 and PKS 0537-441 both at about 1E-6.
* 3C 454.3 at about 4E-6, 4C 21.35 at about 0.9E-6, PKS 0426-380 at about 0.6E-6

* S4 1030+61 (TXS 1030+611, CGRaBS J1033+6051, 1FGL J1033.8+6048) is flaring at daily flux above the threshold (1.47+/-0.3E-6, TS 177, ph index about 2.2) and a 6h emission peaked at 2.46+/-0.79E-6. ATel on the way.
* BL Lac detected today at about 0.2E-6 and hard photon index 1.5+/-0.2, TS 42.
* PKS 0426-380 detected at about 0.4E-6.
* PKS 1424-41 today again with daily flux above 2E-6.
* 4C 21.35 at about 1.7E-6 and soft photon index.

Yesterday ATel 2610 (esternal LAT coll.) announcing VHE emission from Fermi data.
* BL Lacertae is flaring (daily flux 0.7+/-028, ph.index 2.14+/-0.27, TS=37)
* PKS 1424-41 with daily flux 1.43+/-0.37, ph. index 1.96+/-0.17, slighly weaker than yesterday.

  • PKS 0537-441 around 0.9
